Hello,
I have an HP TouchSmart 520-1030 All-In-One Desktop computer. I am trying to install an external graphics card using the Mini PCIe slot using an EXP GDC dock. This setup works with laptops with the same interface, but I am having problems getting the PC to display after setting everything up.
When the dock is connected with its data cable(HDMI port), I receive 6 beeps on startup (I believe this indicates GPU errors) and then the computer seemingly boots with a black screen. Restarting and disconnecting the data cable from the dock restores normal boot with no errors.
Part of the setup for this device is disabling the integrated GPU from the BIOS, but there really doesn't appear to be any options for doing so. I've tried disabling them from Device Manager, shutting down, and booting again, but I am met with the same result, and restarting reinstalls the integrated graphics.
I am wondering if anyone has any idea how I might go about resolving this.
Thanks in advance!

Does the BIOS SETUP have an option to set the preferred graphics adapter as your external device, instead of the integrated graphics?
