Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everyone,

 

I am recently upgrading my old Seagate 2TB hard drive to a new ADATA 128GB SSD on a prebuilt HP Envy h8-1559.

I currently have windows 10.

I was wondering when I reinstall windows using the media creation tool on a bootable usb if I would need to change anything in the BIOS besides the boot order. Also, I have windows 10 on the USB and was wondering how I would be able to install all of the old drivers like audio or motherboard drivers after my ssd has been confirgured with windows 10.

Hi,

 

No Windows 10 drivers from its homepage:

 

    http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-ENVY-h8-Desktop-PC-series/5330773/model/5360080

 

You need the following driver first, it allows you to connect to internet and use Windows updates to find other drivers.

 

    http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=ob_126558_1

 

After few update runs, anything missing, please post back and our friends on this forum will help you.

Would I just go by downloading windows updates like usual or how would I go by finding other drivers?

Yes. Windows 10 updates will also find other drivers for your machine.
