As the description states, I'm trying to install a graphics card, but the computer emits 3 long, 3 short beeps (5X), then boots, but the display does not function. I'm led to believe it may be bios related, since Windows 11 is UEFI based and the graphics card is an older legacy card (Asus GTX 550 TI). Is there any way to make the graphics card run on this PC? I'm running an i5 6400 processor on an Odense 2B47 motherboard with A0.20 bios (most current, 2018) and 12 GB of ram.
If not, which graphics card should I look for? Used market is where I'm looking, since I only need the card to do occasional video rendering. Thanks!

Did you go into the BIOS and disable secure boot?
If you don't want to do that, then most likely the MSI GTX 970 graphics card will work because that should work with PC's that have a UEFI BIOS and support secure boot without having to disable it.
The card was released to market on September 19th, 2014, well within the time period of UEFI and secure boot.

Doesn't that card require a supplemental 6-pin power connector?

If your card does not have one of those, or you have the 6-pin connector installed, you are correct in your assumption.
You are trying to install a legacy graphics card in a PC with a UEFI BIOS and secure boot.
If you don't want to install a more up to date card such as a GTX 1050ti, then you will need to go into the BIOS and disable Secure boot and the GTX 550ti should work.

I installed a Thermaltake 600 watt PSU to accommodate the installation of a graphics card, so I used one of the PCIe connectors for the card. I accept that the card I'm trying to install is not going to work. Would an MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4g run on this setup? I have an opportunity to purchase one of those.

Thanks, Paul. Yes, I'd rather leave the bios alone and change my choice of card.
You must be the resident expert, LOL! That's twice you've helped me out; successfully, might I add. Once again, thank you for you advice.
