Still no wireless working. I'll have to leave it at that. As all the hardware is working in Linux Ubuntu 18.4 at least I have another option.

you will be updated to at least win 10 ver 1803 (1809 is the newest) and if all goes well, you may want to download the latest release of win 10 for future installs to save time

as a last ditch effort try this file, it includs drivers for all intel wireless cards

I am using Ubuntu 18.4 as a single boot,and haven't looked at windows since.

The pro-set admin driver from Intel was installed on windows and didn't succeed in bringing the WiFi card to life. The softpedia version I don't have time to try just yet. I'll report back after Christmas.
