Intel has supposedly been releasing a 'microcode 0x129 update' fix for the 13th and 14th generation Intel Raptor Lake processors to their vendors to address a flaw, specifically over voltages, creeping instability and eventual irreparable damage to the processor that will require it's replacement. My Z2 SFF G9 system with the i7-13700 is affected by the flaw but fortunately is not having any issues so far. This update is supposed to be pushed out by vendors in a BIOS update according to Intel, but so far, I only see BIOS version 03.02.03 being offered on HP's site, which is months older and is already my current version. Does anyone at HP know when they will release a newer BIOS with this microcode update? I'd like to keep my processor from slowly nuking itself as I use my system. 🙁
