HP Pavilion Desktop PC TP01-2000a (2Z6C8AV)

I am trying to find out the max ssd internal storage speed my pc can support. I have a WD Blue Sn570 M.2 1Tb up to 3,500 MB/s. Can I use that and is there any changed I need to make to use it?

Hi:

Your notebook's motherboard supports NVMe SSD's up to PCIe Gen 3 speed.

A PCIe Gen 4 SSD will work but only at the Gen 3 speed.

The WD Blue SN570 is a PCIe Gen 3 NVMe SSD.

There shouldn't be anything you need to do to install the drive.

Just replace the existing 256 GB NVMe SSD your PC came with and reinstall the operating system on the WD Blue SSD.

You can use the HP cloud recovery tool and a 32 GB USB flash drive to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall Windows, the drivers and the software that originally came with your PC.

Here is an info link for how to use the utility.

You can make the recovery media now before you replace the drive.
