Hi there!
I want to buy HP Omen 25L Gt12-1045ur, but it has kinda strange motherboard Oasis Z590H (I don't even know this kind of sockets, I mean H at the end).
I want to change the motherboard and the case after a year, when warranty is gone, on a mini-ITX. And as you may know mini-ITX motherboards have only two slots of RAM, and I need to install 64GB RAM, for mini-ITX It is 2 modules of 32GB RAM each.
But as I said - I will change the case and motherboard later, but RAM I need right now. So, 16GB is not enough for me which is preinstalled in 1045ur, and I want to buy 64GB right now and use it now and later with mini-ITX motherboard to not overpay.
But there is the problem. In the motherboard specification said that it can handle 64GB in total, or 4 modules with 8GB/16GB each. BUT, there is nothing about 32GB modules. And I can't find this kind of information anywhere.
SO, will 2 x 32GB modules of RAM work onto this Oasis Z590H motherboard? Thank you.

From this point of view, either this is just some kind of error in the specification, OR more than 64GB was not even tested on it (for example, there was no goal to use more), OR this motherboard is heavily cut down OR it has nothing to do with the z590 chipset family at all.
That's it, that's what I tried to explain previously
Do not look for correspondence with the possibilities, indicated by intel for example ...
HP motherboards are specific!
In some cases, we have already seen this here, hp can for example indicate a max of 16 gb, and we can install 32 gb
but not always !
You can try what is shown here, and I'm not sure it's right every time:

I took a quick look yesterday and found nothing.
yet persuaded, to have already read an article, but maybe it was for another motherboard, I don't know anymore

hi
you might rack your brains for nothing with HP model nominations..
They often have their own specs, and it may not match another manufacturer's motherboard model.
If you are thinking of buying the computer, with the idea of changing the motherboard later, it is quite possible that your modules will not be compatible, there is a small risk to take into account!
Supports up to 64 GB (unbuffered) with 16 GB DIMMs on 64-bit computers
So you have here, a motherboard, with 4 memory slots
each can accept 16 gb for a max of 64 gb
it is not indicated more, if it accepted 32 gb, so it should be able to go up to 128, which is not indicated
only, most of the time, it's a limit, test and max configuration approved / tested by hp
And sometimes we can go beyond what is mentioned, but no guarantee!

Thank you!
Is there any chance to get more info about this misterious Z590H chipset?
I dig it little bit more now, and now it looks even more stranger, I mean in LGA1200 socket all 400 and 500 chipsets should have total limit in 128GB by default, moreover if it is an a Z version. I mean in fact there are no motherboard on a 500+ chipset with total RAM limit less than 128GB, except mini-ITX, cause they have only 2 slots = 64GB.
From this point of view, either this is just some kind of error in the specification, OR more than 64GB was not even tested on it (for example, there was no goal to use more), OR this motherboard is heavily cut down OR it has nothing to do with the z590 chipset family at all.
