I could not find the correct communication board for this question. Hopefully someone can help me? I have an HP BD 2000 Blu-ray disc player. Does anyone know if it is a regional free player. The manual does say all the reasons for around the world? But does not specifically say region free. I appreciate any help you can give me. Thank you. Robert

Take a look at the rear of the Blu-Ray player for the region labels.
It is unfortunate, but the HP BD 2000 is retired so it is extremely difficult to find support documents
A Blu-Ray player with either no region code or A, B and C has all region flags, so it is region free.

all DVD format and most Blu Ray drives (but not all) were region locked and as the optical format devices are now considered mostly obsolete finding any information on them is difficult
the HP BD 2000 drive being a OEM drive model will be region locked
some people used to hack the optical drive firmware to remove this restriction however doing so is illegal in most parts of the world as such i am not able to go into any detail on this subject due to this forum 's rules
