Product: HP TouchSmart 520-1080uk Desktop PC
This is my old bedroom pc, and I have a spare Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB PCIe NVMe M.2 (2280) Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) (MMZ-V7S1T0BW ). Just wondering.

Your venerable old bedroom PC does not have support for internal SSD product, according to Crucial Memory. HP does not support your retired product so documentation is really hard to come by. An NVMe SSD is seriously too new tech for the 520-1080uk PC. There is no BIOS support for it. If you have an older 2.5" SATA SSD laying around, that may work. You can probably pick one up for next to nothing at a swap meet or on eBay.co.uk
