Welcome to our HP Community forum!
No, it is not possible to upgrade the graphics in the HP Laptop 15s-fq5xxx.
Here's why:
Integrated Graphics Only:
The Intel Iris Xe Graphics in your laptop is integrated into the i5-1235U CPU, meaning it does not use a separate, replaceable GPU.
The 128MB you see is dedicated memory assigned by the system, but the Iris Xe dynamically shares up to several GB of the main RAM as video memory (DVMT - Dynamic Video Memory Technology).
No MXM or PCIe Slot:
The 15s-fq5xxx is a thin-and-light consumer laptop and does not include an MXM slot (used in some workstation-class laptops) or any internal PCIe slot that would allow a discrete GPU to be installed.
No External GPU (eGPU) Support:
Your laptop lacks Thunderbolt 3 or 4, which means it cannot support an external GPU enclosure either.
What You can do:
Increase system RAM to 16GB (2x8GB) to allow Iris Xe to share more memory dynamically, which may offer marginal improvement in graphics-heavy workloads.
Use cloud gaming services (e.g., Nvidia GeForce Now, Xbox Cloud Gaming) if the goal is gaming.
Consider a different system entirely if you need powerful GPU capabilities for gaming, 3D modeling, or video editing.
