I recently was notified that my HP desktop is no longer eligible for reparations starting on October 30, 2021. So, is it worth to continue paying my monthly subscription to HP SmartFriend Services?

@Bear530926 -- I purchased it on September 7, 2017.
It seems that the computer has been "good" for 4 years -- no problems.
So, I think that it can be safely used, without any warranty, for the next 4 years -- until October 2025.
Instead of purchasing 4 more years of warranty, save that money. Later, spend those savings, in 2025, for a brand-new computer.

@Bear530926 -- is this your computer: HP Pavilion Desktop - 570-p020 PC Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support
It came to the market in February 2017. When did you purchase it?
Even if it cannot be upgraded to Windows 11, you can run Windows 10 until October 2025.
Weigh the cost of extending the service contract with the eventual cost of purchasing your "next" PC. It may not be worth it to "pay now".

Dear Itsmyname:
Your comments to my last post are wise. Thank you. Now, the One Million Dollar Question: Where to go in the HP Web page to cancel my subscription of technical service before the next charge to my credit card account?

@Bear530926 -- start at: http://Support.HP.com
Near the top-right corner, click on "My Account", and login.
Hopefully, that will get you to the correct page to manage your subscription.
P.S. I wrote "October 2025", because that is the date of the "sunset" for Windows 10 -- no more support from MIcrosoft for it, thus pushing you to buy a computer with Windows 11 preloaded.
