Hi all,
I have this old desktop HP PC:
It's an HP Pro 3130 MT
- Mother board: Intel® H57 Express Chipset
- Intel® Core™ i3 i3-550 3,2 GHz - 1st gen
- 3 GB DDR3-SDRAM 1333 MHz plus 4GB of 1333MHz ram total 7GB
- 1 TB HDD
plus a 500GB Crucial SSD
a 650W Power Supply
I previously had an ASUS GeForce GT 730 4GB and it worked just fine as a GPU, but now i have upgraded to a MSI RTX 4060 with PCIe slot. The GPU powers up and the fans work, but no matter what display i plug in, it says "no signal". I bought this GPU knowing that PCIe is a fully back-compatible technology, but someone suggested me that in order to make this GPU work some BIOS adjustment have to be made or possibly it's not compatible at all. What do you guys suggest me to do? Thanks

Welcome to our HP community forum!
I don't see any reason why an RTX 4060 wouldn't work on your desktop -here is an HP Pro 3530 MT User with a relatively recent (2019) GTX 1660 Ti graphics card: HP Pro 3130 Microtower PC Performance Results - UserBenchmark.
OK, what I would do is to make sure that your HP Pro 3130 MT got the latest BIOS version: 6.16 Rev. A.
Also, please check your BIOS settings to make sure that your PCIe slots are enabled.
Best to stock your desktop with identical 4 x 4GB of DDR3 1333 or 1600 MHz RAM sticks.
Probably unrelated, but you could upgrade your processor to an i7-870 or an i7-880.
Kind Regards,
