Microsoft Windows 11

So basically I've had this desktop for a good while now and I would like to upgrade it, I already got 16gb of ram which suffices for now and I plan on getting the AMD Ryzen 7 2700X soon. I've made sure to check the upgrade info, but I saw nothing on the graphics card. I currently have the default NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti.

Thanks in advance!

@Daniel3764,

Welcome to our HP community forum!

Yes, you can upgrade your graphics card in your highly reconfigurable and upgradeable OMEN by HP 880-199np.

With your existing 500-watt power supply (please verify), I would recommend a smaller-sized (dual fan) RTX 4060 model, powered by a single 8-pin PCIe power cable, such as one of these examples: ASUS DUAL RTX 4060 V2 Specs | TechPowerUp GPU DatabaseGIGABYTE RTX 4060 WINDFORCE OC Specs | TechPowerUp GPU Database, or: MSI RTX 4060 VENTUS 2X BLACK OC Specs | TechPowerUp GPU Database.

Assuming you got a GTX 1050 Ti graphics card, the GPU upgrade I suggested would more than quadruple your graphics performance: UserBenchmark: Nvidia GTX 1050-Ti vs RTX 4060.

Kind Regards,
