Hi @MotherboardH87

There is a reason that there is no motherboard category here in the forum.

This is not a DIY motherboard manufacturer's forum, like ASUS or MSI.

I did however, research the internet with the keywords HP+H87 and come up HP's Memphis-B motherboard, which does have the Intel H87 chipset.

The Memphis-B motherboard is not compatible with a Pentium processor

@MotherboardH87,

My friends, the reason a Pentium G4400 is not compatible with the Intel H87 chipset, is that the Pentium G4400 is a 6th gen processor, whereas the H87 chipset only supports 4th gen processors, such as the Pentium G3470.

Not because it is a Pentium processor per se.

Consider an HP ProDesk 490 G1 MT, for example, because it so happens that it has the H87 chipset.  And what does HP say:

And indeed, here is an HP ProDesk 490 G1 MT User example fitted with a Pentium G3250HP ProDesk 490 G1 MT Performance Results - UserBenchmark.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
