Hi, I bought an HP 860-019 back in 2015 and with the more recent games, the original GPU (GTX 960) isn’t cutting anymore. I’m shopping for an upgrade, but the compatibility isn’t very clear regarding the motherboard and memory speed. I don’t want to spend money on a card that will bottleneck and not use its full potential because of my original CPU, memory and motherboard specs. So... finally... my question is if my options are compatible with my desktop. My first option of choice would be the MSI GeForce GTX 1660 ti gaming X. Would it run without issues with my configuration? My second option would be a GeForce RTX 2060 Super. Seems like my original PSU of 500w would be flush. And besides, it’s considerably more expensive than the GTX 1660... would I be able to use its full potential without bottlenecking? 😕 can anyone help me out here? Lol

It would be of great benefit to know the most serious game. you play. That way, the game requirements could be compared to your "options".
BTW:
GTX 960 (120W) GTX 1660Ti (120W) even swap on your existing 500W PSU
but the RTX 2060 Super is 175W, so IMHO you need a new PSU in the 600W range.
The card length needs to be known. Some cards are "longer" than others.

Thank you for your answer concerning the GTX 1660 ti, but regarding the dimension, I measured the space in my case and it fits well in my tower, I have a PCi-E 16x slot with 2 slot space, 1 x 8-pin power connector and the PSU is able to handle this GPU. So my question isn’t exactly regarding if it fits, it’s more regarding compatibility with the motherboard and RAM speed And CPU. Since we’re talking about a 5 year old computer, would there be any bottlenecking concerning performance? thank you once again and sorry for my technological illiteracy!!! Lol
