Is the Ryzen 7 5800XD cpu compatible with the HP87C3 Motherboard?

Welcome to the HP Forum.

 

You have the Moria3 MB. The Moria3 MB is an AM4 socket, B450 chipset MB.

 

An AM4 B450 MB can work with a 5800X3D CPU with the appropriate BIOS and the required MB power delivery support.

 

But, HP would have to update the BIOS to support this CPU. HP usually does not do this on consumer MBs.

 

And, your MB only supports 65 watt TDP CPU upgrades at the above Moria3 link. The 5800X3D is a 105 watt CPU.

 

I wish I could provide a positive answer but I don't think you will have a good CPU upgrade experience if you try this CPU upgrade.
