I have changed nothing in the HP Z240 except the ram and graphics card: The Graphics card is the RTX 2060 and the ram is the Vengeance LPX 64GB (2 x 32GB) DDR4 DRAM.

That processor was designed for the 300 series Intel chipset. The HP Z240 chipset is Intel c236. I suspect it will not work.
