You're very welcome.
Yes, you can upgrade the memory to at least 2 x 8 GB according to the older service manual.
My opinion is that the notebook would support 2 x 16 GB of memory.
Chapter 5 of the service manual has the memory removal and replacement procedure.
And you have already seen that the Crucial memory company indicates the notebook will support 64 GB of memory.

Hi:
HP only has the service manual for the older model series on your notebook's support page.
HP Pavilion 14 Laptop PC 14-dv2000 Manuals | HP® Customer Support
According to chapter 1 of the manual, since your notebook has the Intel graphics adapter, it has two memory slots and can support 2 x 8 GB of memory.
What doesn't make sense to me is that notebooks with the Nvidia graphics have one memory slot and the slot can support a 16 GB memory chip.
My question is if the notebook has two memory slots and a 16 GB memory chip will work in one slot, why wouldn't 2 x 16 GB of memory work in a 14-dv2xxx notebook with the Intel graphics?
I think it would.
The Crucial memory report for the 14-dv2xxx model series indicates that 2 x 32 GB of memory is supported.
You can do this to see how much memory your notebook can support:
1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.
This will open the command prompt.
2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and hit enter.
There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.
The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.
