I am curious with the RAM upgrade being limited to 16 GB if there is a way to make the built in Willow2 motherboard run the RAM in dual channel, I may have overlooked the settings, but after upgrading and adding another stick of 8 GB to the existing 8 GB I am still running single channel

@Kibadawolf93 , welcome to the forum.

The memory will automatically run in Dual channel mode if the sticks are installed in pairs.  If the new memory isn't exactly the same (Timings, etc.) as the original memory it may not work.  You can run CPU-Z to see the brand of the existing memory.  It will be in the "SPD" tab.  You can compare both sticks in CPU-Z, also.

Thank you I honestly hadn’t considered that as a factor. I know the built in was by micron. My RAM I bought is Crucial by micron. I suppose that can make a difference.

You are welcome.  Thank you for the additional information, @Kibadawolf93 !

I suggest contacting Crucial's Tech Support to see if they will let you return their memory and tell you if they have memory that will work with the Micron stick.
