Please indicate the product number (model) of your equipment:
Find the product information with HP Support Assistant.
- In Windows, search for and open HP Support Assistant.
- Click the My devices tab.The product name, serial number, and product number display on the tile for your notebook.

Welcome to the forum.
I am not a HP employee.
The Tampa motherboard (Link) supports four 8 GB memory modules totaling 32 GB of memory.
HP consumer motherboards don't support XMP. So the memory, if it is compatible, may only run at 2400 MHz in dual channel mode.
Did you check current HP memory timings using CPU-Z (Link) before buying new memory?
Some HP motherboards have problems with certain brands of memory. Crucial Memory is usually a good fit with HP motherboards.
