HP 235 Slim Wireless Mouse

I bought a mouse 2 months ago that has since stopped working, despite replacing the battery and attmpting to reconnect. The mouse is listed on its unedrside as HP Wireless Mouse X200, but it looks like the HP 235 Slim Wireless Mouse. However, on the support page for this mouse (https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/details/hp-235-slim-wireless-mouse/2100391909) the user guide setup is for a completely different mouse. I have tried to connect with both the USB-A Dongle and bluetooth but have been unsuccessful. It does not show up under Mice and other pointing devices on the Device Manager. Also, the number labled S/N which I assumed was the serial number does not register as a valid serial number, meaning I cannot claim warenty despite the mouse having a Manufacturer Warranty

of "One-year limited warranty". Does anyone know how I can get this fixed or at least contact support without a valid S/N, since that has made it impossible?
