My keyboard HP 230 and its mouse don't connect to pc. The USB dongle stopped Working. How can i fix?

You can restart the device to see if the problem gets fixed. Plug the dongle into another PC or laptop. This will make sure that whether the dongle is damaged.

We understand the concern that your facing an issue with the Keyboard 230 USB dongle, We’ll definitely help you in resolving this issue.

 

Kindly please follow the below steps :

 

1. Try the basic checks first

Restart / Re-plug

  • Remove the USB dongle.
  • Restart the PC.
  • Plug the dongle into a different USB port (preferably USB-A on the back of a desktop).

Check for interference

  • Move the dongle closer to the keyboard/mouse (use a USB extension cable if you have one).
  • Remove other wireless adapters temporarily.

 2. Check battery & power

  • Replace the batteries in the keyboard and mouse.
  • Ensure the keyboard/mouse power switches are ON.

 3. Check Device Manager

  1. Press Win + X → Device Manager
  2. Expand Keyboards, Mice, and Universal Serial Bus Controllers
  3. Look for:
    • “Unknown USB Device”
    • Device with a yellow warning icon

        If you see it:

  • Right-click → Uninstall device
  • Unplug the dongle → plug it back in.

 4. Try the dongle on another PC

If it doesn’t get detected on any computer → the dongle is likely dead.

No, the usb receiver is totally unusable. I tried everything. It stopped working after only TWO week of live. It's very frustrating.  And now i have also an ubusable mouse.  Pay TWO and use ZERO. TOP.
