So we had a sudden storm and power surge and my PC was turned on. Now my usb keyboard and mouse will not work at all.
It's a hp omen desktop heres the error I get:
Following this the system starts and goes to the pre log in screen.
I've tried other keyboards and none of them work, my keyboard works fine with me xbox though. The USB on the PC also charges my phone and lights up other devices.
Any ideas? Please help!

Greetings,
Welcome to the forum.
I am not a HP employee.
My best guess, given the information provided and the POST error screen (CPU and RAM detected), is you may have a motherboard (MB) USB controller problem.
Power outages and surges may cause indiscriminate component damage.
Have you tried connecting the keyboard and mouse to all available USB ports on your PC? Most PCs will have a USB 2.0 controller and a USB 3.0 controller. You verified the keyboard works by connecting it to a different device. You also tried different keyboards on this device resulting in failure to communicate with the MB.
The power surge may have damaged the MB.
Either contact HP Support (Link) if in warranty or a local PC tech for a diagnosis.
