Hello! I was unsure where else to post this question, so forgive me if this is not the correct venue.
I was in the Microsoft Store at the mall earlier today and noticed something about the HP Envy 27 set up there. I absolutely love the compact metal keyboard paired with it. I have been on a constant hunt for a slim, metal keyboard literally just like this one made by a reputable manufacturer, and it does not appear to exist.
Recently, Microsoft released a keyboard similar to what I'm describing, however, it is not nearly as compact as the HP Envy keyboard.
Finally, to my question:
Would the Envy 27 keyboard work with any other computer, assuming I had an HP wireless dongle? Or is it forever only friends with an Envy system?

Welcome to HP Support Forum. I don't know what is your HP Envy 27 (must be 27-something). For example the following machine has Dongle: Nano receiver that plugs into USB port.
Yes, in this case it would work with other computer and the nono receiver MUST go with it otherwise it won't work. KB, mouse and nano receiver must be on one set because they have internal code. The code can be very simple from 0000 to 9999 or even from 000 to 999. Just thinking about a room with 20 mice and keyboards (they can work up to 8m) all have same code.
Regards.
