Keyboard doesn't auto-lock in tablet mode

I have just purchased a HP Pavilion x360.

When I flip the screen all the way round to turn the device into a tablet, the keyboard and trackpad do not auto-disable their functions. This renders the device essentially unusable in tablet mode, as the keyboard and trackpad still receive inputs. Windows' own tablet-mode settings do not appear to include an option for this function. I have browsed several old threads from 2017-present on various sites, and found several laughably bad solutions to this problem, such as manually uninstalling the keyboard every time the screen is flipped. (Microsoft's own support suggested that.)

It is unbelievable to me that HP can have released a 2in1 laptop which does not auto-disable its keyboard and trackpad when flipped around. It is the single most important physical function of the laptop. Without this function, the HP Pavilion x360 is pretty close to being a scam. 😠 

What can I do to enable or acquire this function?

Fixed now... required re-installing the Intel sensor driver (at least, I think that's what fixed it).
