I logged on to my laptop today, I have been using the HP 230 wireless USB keyboard with my laptop seamlessly since June. For some reason the laptop is not detecting the USB and/or the Keyboard. I’ve tried different ports on the laptop and it appears there is no detection. The keyboard has a new set of batteries. The keyboard is working but the only button that is reacting is the F in the padlock. I am not sure if there is a hard reset on this keyboard? Or a way I can configure the USB again with the keyboard. I also use a HP USB wireless mouse and the when I input the USB into the laptop port it is detected so the laptop is not the issue. Not sure if this is a USB fault or keyboard fault or both.

How to reset a wireless keyboard
"
- Turn off your keyboard.
- With the keyboard turned off, hold down the ESC key.
- While holding down the ESC key, turn on your keyboard.
- After about 2 to 5 seconds, release the ESC key. You will see the keyboard lighting flash if the reset is successful."

Is this a combo keyboard and mouse set?
If you remove the keyboard batteries it is off.

Your description of what you did to try a reset is not exactly as what I described.
Combo or single unit?
There is a two year limited warranty on the keyboard.
Take a read of the warranty card that was in the box.

You're very welcome.
It would seem that there may be an issue with the keyboard.
It is good that it happened before the end of the warranty period.
Having a warranty is a good thing in my book.
If you do not get a response with a week ping me again and I can ask for assistance for you.
