hi

That it doesn't work with a keyboard, we can assume a problem with the key..
But if you try another keyboard, then there it is rather curious!
What do you call online keyboard?
You're not talking about the virtual keyboard, have you tried that too?
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/use-the-on-screen-keyboard-osk-to-type-ecbb5e08-5b4e-d8c...
And have you tried with different applications?
internet browser, here for example, google search
with a text document?
Anyway I think that it will be necessary to contact the retailer, for an exchange

By online keyboard I meant virtual one on screen,

Yes I've tried with Chrome, Edge and Word.

I'll contact Hp for an exchange on Monday.

Yes, it's quite curious.
If it was a problem with any usb keyboard, which you are sure works with another computer, I would have told you to try, with another usb port..
But if even the virtual has a problem, it's a problem I've never encountered, so it would be another unknown problem for me.
in the meantime, if you have nothing to lose, try a factory recovery
if that doesn't change anything then it's probably hardware
Let me know about your situation in this case Monday/Tuesday
please

Progress. I've now tried an old wired keyboard (the 2nd one I tried was also a wireless one) and this one is working. Can't see half the keys but progress! Thanks for the replies.
