My keyboard won't type out letter R. Have disconnected USB,  uninstalled keyboard, ran system diagnosis... None of them works. A while ago, the letter G didn't type out. I uninstalled chrome and reinstalled it. It solved problem, but didn't work this time.  Does it mean I need to get a new keyboard ? Please help.

There are virus that mess with the keyboard but if you have Microsoft's defender you should be ok.  If you really want confirmation use the keyboard on some other computer or smart TV with USB port to ensure it is bad.  If this is one of those really neat$ keyboard with led gaming or mood lamps then you might want to take it apart and try to fix it .  You can get basic keyboard under $10 USD and occasionally they come with a really cheap mouse which is a +

I had a genuine area51 alienware keyboard that didnt last not even 3 months.  The little touch nodes on the j and f key wore out and the lettering came of most of the vowel keys.  I got a $10 and it has lasted 2 years.
