HP Pavilion Desktop PC TP01-2000a (2Z6C9AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello.

I have a HP Pavilion TP01-2066 that no longer powers on. After checking with a DMM, I noticed that the L70042-002 power supply no longer outputs any voltage, and I have verified that the power cord is working. Since it seems likely this is the problem, I am looking for a replacement, but I'm having difficulty finding a part. The PSU has 2 x 4 pin connectors, with 2 black and 2 yellow wires each, and a 7 pin connector with 4 wires (black, purple, grey, green). I have seen similar parts on Amazon, but they have 3 wires in the 7 pin connector instead of 4, and I am worried this is not compatible. I'd greatly appreciate any advice in choosing a replacement. Thanks.

@aaa183,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

It looks like that the model your referenced (2Z6C9AV) came with a 180-watt power supply.

You can purchase a 180-watt replacement power supply online, such as via this trusted eBay Seller: https://www.ebay.com/itm/226799345624?_skw=HP+L70042-002&itmmeta=01JYB2R1TMYR39V5APZZYK5B0P&hash=ite....

Then again, if you also want to power any meaningful graphics card, you could upgrade your PC with either a 310-watt, 400-watt, 500-watt, or even a 650-watt power supply.  If this is something you're interested in, let me know and I'll provide the part number(s) for you.

Kind Regards,
