Hi:
There is no service manual available for your notebook's model series.
According to the service manual for the older model 15-dy0xxx series, HP offered NVMe SSD's up to 512 GB in the model series.
HP Laptop PC 15-dy2000 - Setup and User Guides | HP® Support
The drive capacities listed in the manual are normally just what HP offered in the model series, not the maximum capacity supported.
The Crucial SSD report for your notebook indicates that they sell NVMe SSD's up to 4 TB.

Thank you for responding, I really appreciate it.
Here is the specification for my Laptop https://support.hp.com/lv-en/document/c07956816
I am new to laptops, I am now learning. I don't have a laptop but my brother does and I am doing research for his laptop to see what would be the best hard drive up-date.
In the link from crucial that you've provided, I was confused because the items looked like memory sticks to me, but as I read the description I found that they are Hard drives (Thanks to you for showing me)
All along I thought that this type of internal hard drive was compatible with his laptop
Are both types compatible with his laptop?

You're very welcome.
According to the product specs your notebook came with a 256 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD.
Your notebook only supports the 'gumstick' sized M.2 NVMe SSD's.
There is no support for the Crucial BX500 2.5" SATA SSD you posted.

Thank you so much😊 This has helped me a LOT!
I've learned something today, I kept telling my brother that those were memory sticks, but now I know I was wrong😅
I really appreciate the crucial link that you have provided, I will choose one of those listed compatible for my model#
Thanks again and have a BEAUTIFUL rest of your day😊
