model: HP ENVY 15 Notebook PC
Having a real issue with the keyboard of this laptop. The laptop is currently connected to an external monitor as screen isn’t working & it also has an external mouse and keyboard plugged in. The keyboard has been acting up for quite awhile, but as long as it always had an external keyboard, it would work. However, today I have tried to login and it continuously enters the apostrophe symbol. If I hold shift, it then turns into an @ symbol until I stop. I can type extra letters using the external keyboard, but the apostrophe still continues to be entered, making it impossible to use. I have tried using the built-in keyboard that is part of the laptop and it does nothing. I have tried to check for any sticky keys & I have uninstalled the driver and restarted the laptop. Nothing seems to be working. It had had moments like this before where it will randomly enter letters or numbers, but I have always been able to make it stop.
