HP Prodesk 400 G6 SFF
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

My question:
- what are the maximum dimensions of the optional graphics card that can be inserted into the HP Prodesk 400 G6 SFF computer slot? (X Y Z mm)

For example, does this vga card fit in the SFF case?

ZOTAC GeForce® GT 1030 2GB GDDR5 HDMI/VGA Low Profile Card Length 172.5mm x 111.15mm x 16mm (6.79in x 4.38in x 0.63in)

Will the 172.5mm length still fit?

Thank you in advance for your answer!

/Robert

I don't agree with that.
This is also written on HP's official website as a recommended optional video card expansion:

They also have a 50W TDP!
Based on the description, the 30W TDP GT 1030 card should work.

I've read so far and several sites recommend the GT 1030 cards and the 50W RX 550 cards in addition of the 180W power supply.

Thanks for the answers, have a nice day!

There are several versions of your motherboard.  Picking the top one below one can make a guess that the card will fit

note that the dark blue SATA connector will be blocked by the card

A low profile SATA cable will allow the adapter to fit over the connector

The black cable (in the center) below will have to be replaced with low profile

This card is a much better choice and is listed in the documentation for the 133Y7AV model

I don't know which motherboard the PC is equipped with, but I found a video that says this type of card is good for it:  Link

It is written here that all three manufacturers - Gigabyte, MSI and Zotac's 1030 cards are suitable.

I think approx a single-slot vga card can be 185-190mm in length max. dimension that fits in the box.

Only the power supply should be replaced, e.g. to a 250W or 300W, because the factory 180W is not very strong...

Is this possible or not?

The product ID us usually sufficient to determine inventory

180 watt cannot handle 1030

You will be better off selling your old system and getting a new one than doing an upgrade of both power supply and graphics.

Your case is limited in space and the heat from the single slot GPU has very little room for air to flow
