Product: HP Pavilion HPE h8-1160t
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)
I need to replace my original graphics cards due to problems with the fan failing.  Currently I have a NVIDIA GeForce GT 530 (2 GB DDR3, PCI-E 2.0 x16).
 
My computer specifications are as follows:
 
Computer Type: HP Pavilion HPE h8-1160t
OS:  Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP 1
Processor:  Intel i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz
Memory:  16 GB (4 x 4 GB) DDR3 PC3-10600
Power Supply:  600W (Model DPS-600WB A)
Card slot:  pci-e 2.0
 
I have already tried several Gigabyte cards from Amazon and have had to return them as they did not work even though they had the correct specifications.
 
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Graphic cards reviews are an excellent indicator.  Anything after Nov 2012 I would suspect as UEFI.

Your system is circa 2011, WIN 7, and Legacy BIOS. The best top end card (Legacy BIOS) is the GTX 660. I would prefer an EVGA model. Your did not mention the other card models, but I suspect those were UEFI vBIOS cards.

How do I determine the BIOS version of the graphics card?  I've looked on the manufacturers website and can't seem to find it.  The preious graphics card purchased was a Gigabyte GeForce GT 730.

 

What about an EVGA GeForce GT 610?  I can't seem to find the BIOS version of this card either and I'm looking on their website under the Specs for the card.
