Hi, I have a 20" Sceptre monitor, but I need a desktop computer that is compatible. Can it work with the HP Elite 8300 Business Desktop?

That Display port to HDMI cable would still work for you.
Since the specs indicate the PC comes with built in speakers, if you intend to use those speakers, according to page 19 of the HP Quickspecs at the link below, it indicates that audio out is supported via the Display Port.

Is this what you have?
Does your 8200 Elite have a discrete graphics card added such as an AMD Radeon or a Nvidia GT, or does it just have the onboard Intel graphics adapter?
If your PC has the onboard Intel graphics adapter, you can buy a display port to HDMI cable and use that to connect to your monitor.
