HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-d5000 (4V9X9AV)

My laptop is an HP Laptop 15s-fq5326TU (9D3N5PA).

I recently bought a Zebronics keyboard, but it didn’t work with my laptop due to compatibility issues.

So, I started looking for HP keyboards. The HP K100 is available at a nearby shop.

Is it compatible?

Thanks for your response!

Hi @sanjx

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The HP Laptop 15s-fq5326TU (model 9D3N5PA) is compatible with most standard USB and wired keyboards. The HP K100 keyboard, being a USB wired keyboard, should work perfectly with your laptop, as it uses a standard USB connection and doesn’t rely on any special drivers that would prevent it from working with your system.

Key Compatibility Considerations:

  1. USB Connectivity: The HP K100 is a USB wired keyboard, and your laptop has USB ports available, so connectivity shouldn’t be an issue.
  2. Operating System Compatibility: The HP K100 is generally plug-and-play, meaning it works with Windows (including Windows 10 and 11) without needing additional drivers. The laptop should automatically recognize the keyboard.
  3. No Special Software or Drivers: The HP K100 is a basic keyboard, meaning it doesn’t require any special software or drivers, and it should work immediately once plugged into the USB port.

Why the Zebronics Keyboard Didn't Work:

It’s possible that the Zebronics keyboard you tried had either:

  • Driver compatibility issues with your system.
  • A non-standard USB protocol or a specific hardware issue that was causing the keyboard not to work correctly with your laptop.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
