OMEN 30L Desktop PC GT13-1000a (207P7AV)

Hey guys, I have an HP OMEN 30L desktop (model: GT13-1xxx) I'm pretty new to the PC scene and I would like to upgrade my GPU from the base 6600XT to a 7800XT. I'm wondering if I would have to switch out my power supply/motherboard to achieve this. Also I would appreciate some other CPU suggestions as I currently have an AMD Ryzen 5 5600G and I have heard great things about the AMD Ryzen 7000 series of CPU's. Any suggestion is appreciated, thank yall!

Your OMEN 30L Desktop PC GT13-1000a (207P7AV) as fitted with a Hana motherboard (SSID: 8876), is likely powered by a Cooler Master 500-watt power supply (p/n: M22295-001) -please verify.

Well, rather than an RX 7800 XT, I would strongly recommend a smaller-sized RTX 4070 which is the Nvidia equivalent (but provides better performance), such as this model powered by a single 8-pin power supply cable: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/asus-dual-rtx-4070-evo-oc.b11810.

This GPU, which has a 200-watt TDP, can be powered by a 600-watt power supply.  HP does offer Cooler Master power supply upgrades for your PC: the 600-watt (p/n: M47044-001), 750-watt (p/n: M22296-001) or an 800-watt (p/n: M47045-001) power supply.  Of course, since these are industry standard ATX power supplies, you can choose any other ATX power supply (such as Corsair), as long as you check its dimensions (LxWxH) for fit inside your case.

That leaves us with a processor upgrade.  The best compatible processors for your desktop are:

Ryzen 7 5800X (3.80 GHz up to 4.70 GHz, 8-Cores, 16-Threads)
Ryzen 9 5900X (3.70 GHz up to 4.80 GHz, 12-Cores, 24-Threads)

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
