Okay guys I’m looking to start upgrading this computer as with this virus going around I quite frankly can’t afford to just flat out upgrade.
im looking to add in 2 SSD drives to this. One planned to be Sata and the other I’m planning to be PCI. The issue is I’m having difficulty figuring out if the PCI slot is NVME compatible. This is the main issue I’m having as of now as I realistically do not want to be purchasing a PCI SSD and have it not be compatible. Has anyone upgraded this machine and can get me the drives you used that worked. Would be greatly appreciated

Glad you asked before the leap.
An NVMe M.2 SSD needs a PCIEx4 slot, not the small PCIEx1 slot. There are PCIEx1 NVMe adapters, but their limited to 400 MB/s, as discussed here.

Yeah I ended up finding the answer a little while ago. Just gonna grab a 1TB Sata sdd to replace my HDD. Going to be replacing this computer when I’m back on my feet after we’re all allowed to go back to work
