Pavilion 570 p054
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello all, thanks for reading!

 I am looking to upgrade a pure vanilla OEM HP Pavilion a bit for my kids who have started getting interested in PC gaming. That being so I have been checking into what video cards would work with this desktop and the oem power supply. Currently the power supply is only 180w and it appears to upgrade my GPU I would need to also get a new PSU as well.  I have done some research to see what may best work on this system's design and I haven't really come across any useful directions as far as finding out what graphics card would actually fit into the CPU or what PSU may work in the tiny space as well.

 I am not finding any information as far as compatibility with HP Pavs for either type of device. Is there an easy way through this or is this all trial and error?

Thanks again!

@Caesura,

You say kids, and this "age" and the "game play" as the question.  What games? That would determine the base GPU level. You also have a very weak processor, mainly the I3-7100, as shown here.

The motherboard in that unit is a Lubin.  Adding a GPU card is problematic because wide 2 slot cards will not seat and latch up, as the card might strike the 24pin Main ATX power header. Please read this, as it has been asked.

All said an done, it with require CPU, GPU and 2x4GB RAM minimum, plus that PSU.😟

If it would require a new CPU chip, thats $$$ and could you do the job?
