Hello,
I am looking to upgrade my hp pavilion desktop 590-p0xxx gpu which is currently a radeon rx550 2gb, i am looking to get a radeon rx580 8gb however the minimum requirement of the gpu's wattage is about 400W-500W. Would it be possible to simply buy any new psu or are there hp pavilion specific psu's which i must purchase to be compatible with the hp pavilion itself. (Quick side question is the motherboard compatible with the radeon rx580 8gb? If not i may look for a 4gb radeon rx570)

There is an HP proprietary 500W PSU as shown on this spreadsheet.
Read the "solution" in this message. It offered another part number that worked.
