Hey all!

I've been working on upgrading my AiO HP PC, as I was gifted the computer but have found it insufficient for my needs.  I've been out of the game for quite some time, and am in need of advice from more knowledgeable members of the community.

Thus far, I've purchased a new internal SSD (Crucial P5 Plus 500GB PCle Gen4 3D NAND NVMe M.2) but have not yet installed it.

I've purchased and installed a pair of new RAM sticks (Crucial 16GB DDR4 3200MHz).

Now I'm hoping to upgrade my processor from the stock i3.  I'm wondering which processor(s) I should consider purchasing and how difficult it might be to replace.  Should I go for the i7?  Is the installation process particularly complicated?  Any insight is greatly appreciated!

Hi @The_Lucid_Lion

HP lists the following processor upgrades for your MB at this Site.

The CPU socket is BGA. However, it is my understanding the processor is soldered to the CPU socket on BGA socketed MBs. This would make upgrading the CPU very difficult.

You might want to check with a local PC Tech.

Regards
