I have recently done a clean install of Windows 10 Home (X64) Version 1909 on my HP TouchSmart 610-1010 PC.
Does HP support Windows 10 on this model? I've been unable to find and tech.support info. that says it is not supported, only that because of its age it may not be supported.
My reason for asking is that following the Win 10 install, I no longer have an audio output device shown. I have run Audio Diagnostics and it is showing hardware problem detected with "No speakers found" and "No microphone found". I assume that the necessary audio drivers are missing. Can anyone advise where I can find a Win 10 audio driver for this PC. I'm a bit wary of going to third party sites purporting to offer drivers to fix this.

Hi:
HP provided no W10 support for PC's made prior to August of 2013.
See if installing this W10 IDT audio driver and restarting the PC gets the sound to work again...
VERSION: 6.10.6504.0 July 03, 2015

You're very welcome.
Sorry that didn't work.
One other thing you can try before you revert to W7...
Go to the device manager and click to expand the Sound, video and game controllers device category.
1. Select the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC under that category.
2. Select Driver tab.
3. Click the Update Driver button.
4. Select -> Browse my computer for driver software.
5. Select -> Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
6. Select High Definition Audio Device (Not IDT High Def... this is important.) and click Next.
A warning message may appear, but click Yes.
7. Windows has successfully updated your driver software.
8. Restart the PC.
The key is step 6.
