Hi @Chan61180,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are getting a loud siren from your HP All-in-One 22-dd0016 during startup after a RAM upgrade usually indicates a hardware issue. It might be caused by improperly seated RAM, incompatible memory, or system settings that need adjusting.
Steps to Troubleshoot:
Power Down and Unplug:
- Shut down your computer and disconnect it from the power source.
Recheck the RAM Installation:
- Open the back panel of your All-in-One carefully.
- Remove the newly installed RAM module(s).
- Ensure the RAM slots and connectors are free of dust.
- Reinsert the RAM firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure it's oriented correctly (notches should align).
Verify RAM Compatibility:
- Ensure the new RAM matches the system's specifications:
- DDR4 SDRAM (Check speed and size requirements from your HP manual or support page).
- Avoid mixing RAM with different speeds or types.
- Use only supported configurations (e.g., single-channel, dual-channel).
Reset the CMOS (Optional):
- Disconnect the power and hold the power button for 15 seconds to discharge any residual power.
- Look for a small CMOS battery on the motherboard; remove it for 5 minutes, then reinstall it. This resets BIOS settings.
Start with One Module:
- If you've installed multiple RAM sticks, try booting with one stick at a time. This helps isolate a faulty module.
Check BIOS Settings:
- If the system powers on without a siren after reseating RAM, access the BIOS/UEFI settings by pressing the appropriate key (e.g., F10, Esc, or Del during startup).
- Check the RAM configuration and ensure it's recognized correctly.
Test Original Configuration:
- Remove the upgraded RAM and boot the system with the original RAM. If the siren stops, the issue is with the new RAM.
Inspect for Physical Damage:
- Check the RAM slots and module pins for damage. Bent pins or debris can cause issues.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
