Just bought another 6300 PRO MT used and it has BIOS version 2.05 (like my first) however unlike my first I am unable to find the BIOS update 2.99 nor the update to that BIOS update 3.05 (which is what I have on my first). The 2.99 update is refered to in HP Document c03774642 but the link http://www.hp.com/go/bizsupport does not take me to a download. I need to download 2.99 first and install before I can download and install 3.05. Can anyone help ?

You're very welcome.
Ever since HP merged the business and consumer support sites together, you can no longer see the full driver revision history like you used to be able to on the business support site.
I have searched high and low for v03.05 and cannot find it. I checked old forum posts by entering 6300 Pro and 8300 Elite to no avail. Both models use the same BIOS files.
If I ever come across v03.05, I will post it here.

Hi,
If and when you need Bios or drivers for you PC you can go to the support page for your PC and you can see that there are many version of Bios available for download.
On each one you can also click on previous versions which makes even more available to you:

Hope it helps,

Thanks David ... The challange I am having is when I go to that page it asks me for my OS and Version ... I enter Win 7 Pro and nothing shows up ? It is the strangest thing ? I have had a 6300 Pro now for over a year and have always been able to get to that page ... I updates my drivers ... downloaded some software and most importantly "Flashed" my bios from 2.05 tp 2.99 to 3.04 without a hitch ... Now all I see is an option to change my OS selection and a notice that no files are available for this OS ? Is it possible that because I am attempting to access this page from my first 6300 that now has Win 10 as it's OS that the page will not let me download any Win 7 files ? I have also changed OS to 8.1choice with same result ? ... I want to update the new 6300 to at least BIOS 2.99 before connecting to internet or I would try that ... If infact you can confirm that to access the page we are talking about I need to access it with a Win 7 machine I will setup the new machine and go ahead and do so ... Can you confirm ?

Hi,
The link I provided leads to a page where it asks for the version (32 or 64 bit) and the OS installed. From my Windows 10 computer and from windows 7 computer I am able to download the various versions of the Bios (Bios which is not stricltly related to the OS) and drivers.

Hey, I have the same problem. But mine is locating the BIOS K01 v2.99 (SP73099.exe) file to download. Apparently I MUST upgrade my BIOS to 2.99 before I can go on to the dizzy heights of 3.XX
Can anyone advice where 2.99 is? If so, put me out of my misery would you!
