hi, i have hp slim 290-p0xxx and want to install m.2 SSD, but i dont know which protocol will be compatible with my PC, is it SATA SSD OR NVME, THANK YOU

What is your hp slim 290-p0xxx ? For example

 

              HP Slimline 290-p0043w 

 

Your machine probably uses same motherboard with the above machine. It supports M.2 SATA SSD's

Please provide the full model number or product number of your notebook.

 

According to the product specs for the model series, there are 3 motherboards and I know for a fact that the Links and Menlo motherboards support NVMe SSD's.
