Here are the Motherboard Specifications. Look at the section titled "Memory upgrade information" for the maximum amount and the type of memory that will be compatible with your motherboard.
HP doesn't use XMP's to overclock their memory. They use the standard speed that is in each stick. Also, since the motherboard supports Dual channel memory architecture (One DIMM per channel) it is best to add memory in matching pairs to get the best performance.
