I recently purchased a used ML310e G8 V2 server to use as a NAS. After upgrading ILO4 to the latest I noticed it complaining about the MicroSD card. I tried Formatting it to no avail, then discovered there was no microSD card in the socket. I powered it down, popped in a new SanDisk 256Gb card I had and tried to format it. I get the same complaint from ILO4. Degraded. Someone recommended that I purchase an HP microSD card and try that. There appear to be several different ones. What card should I get and will that solve the issue? Thanks.

I've been the HPE site, logged in and searched the forum. I don't seem to be able to post a question there. Not sure why.

When I log into the site and go to the link I posted for you, right under the large font title for the section -- Proliant Servers (ML, DL, SL), there is a green line oval button to click on labeled New Discussion.

I clicked on that, and it opened a page to allow me to post a new question.

OK, your link works, but when I go to the main site and follow the menus I wind up here:

Thanks.

You're very welcome.

Yes, I noticed that several months ago where you can't post a question on the main section, but you can when you go to the subsections.

The only reason I have the account is because that used to be the forum for the HP business class notebooks and desktop PC's, which I joined in 2007.

About Paul Tikkanen - Hewlett Packard Enterprise Community (hpe.com)

In 2014 when HP split, they removed many posts pertaining to those PC's and moved them to this forum.

The only time I ever post on there now is to give someone drivers for the ILO devices when they are missing and the last time I did that was a few years ago.
