Try running it again, and if you can't get the disk cleanup utility to delete the folder, try some 3rd party utility.

 

I use the free Unlocker program to get rid of stubborn files or folders that refuse to be deleted.

It deleted the second time around. I have now got a good chunk more storage on my hd.

 

My new cpu arrived today but I'm waiting for some thermal paste and isopropyl alcohol to arrive before upgrading. Looking forward to the differnece it will make - and quite enjoying doing what I can to get the most out of this rather aging PC.

Glad you were able to get both of the Windows.old folders to delete.

 

Yes, the E7600 will be a nice bump up from the E2220, plus it supports virtualization if that matters to you.

 

I like to use the Intel processor comparison utility to check them out side by side.
