Hi all!
I have a HP compaq 8200 SFF and I have bought a MSI geForce GT 710 2GB Low profile.
after the installation of the video board the pc doesn't view nothing on the screen even in the integrated displayport connection.
I had to disable the security check in the BIOS with the 16x PCI-E to start the pc.
My problem is that the nvidia driver doesn't install telling me that they can't find the hardware in the computer...
what have I to do ??
thank you, regards

Hi:
It should have worked without issue.
I have the Zotak nVida GT 730 in mine and it worked just fine.
When you install a video card, the onboard video is disabled, so it would be normal that the onboard Intel video out of the display port doesn't work.
Update the BIOS to version 2.28 and then see if the card works. That is the BIOS version I am running in mine.
You should install the card with the BIOS settings set to their defaults.
I didn't have to do a thing to the BIOS settings.
Use the F10 Setup flashing method to update the BIOS since you are running W10.

"When you install a video card, the onboard video is disabled, so it would be normal that the onboard Intel video out of the display port doesn't work".
Sorry I really don't know this...
I have put the video cable into the MSI board and it worked (before that I have restored the security state in BIOS for those PCI express door).
many many many thanks.
I have only a little question, how the system manage the power supply needs of that board (300 W) if the power supply unit is 240 W?
best regards

You're very welcome.
The GT 710 only draws 19W of power, so you will be fine with the 240W power supply.
It is my opinion (and that of others) that video card manufacturers overstate the power supply requirements to prevent customers from complaining if the video card causes the power supply to fail, if they set the requirements too low.
I would bet my bottom dollar that the card would work fine even in a PC with a 180W power supply.
If you look at the AMD HD 6450 (which was the optional graphics card offered by HP in the 8200 Elite SFF models), AMD states the power supply requirement is 400W!
I believe that card draws 18W.
Here is the link to the 8200 Elite Quickspecs which shows the supported graphics cards HP offered.
