Compaq 6200 Pro MT

Hi,

Just had a new motherboard fitted to my Compaq 6200 Pro and now the boot splash screen contains the message,

"Management Platform (ME) in Manufacturing Mode"

I cannot find any information on how to resolve this for the 6200 - methods for other makes and models all fail. It does not appear to be causing any problems at present but I am curious as to the solution

All help appreciated.

cheers......tony

Greetings ,

Please try this

1.Start or restart the computer.
2.Press and hold the F10 key until the system enters Setup.
3.Select Security > Setup Password and create a setup password
4.Save the changes and then power cycle the computer
5.Log into F10 BIOS Setup using the newly created setup password
6.Save and exit and then power cycle the system

Hi,

Thanks for the response. I came across this method earlier as a working solution for the HP 8200 and tried it without success. Just tried again to be sure but, unfortunately, still no luck.

cheers....tony

Hi, I have this issue as well. Tried what PtomGuru suggested but it does now work. Any other suggestions?
