Hi all! I have an old Pavilion a6244n with the P5LP-LE motherboard. From what im reading it is either a Leonite or a Leonite2. It should have the Intel 945 Chipset.
I currently have the Core 2 Duo e6700 in it. I was wondering if I could swap it with the Celeron D 365 CPU? It says its compatible with the socket and chipset but I figured I would ask before I risk anything.
Thanks!

Hi, @ClownMan
Even if the Celeron processor was supported, the E6700 is better in every respect except the GHz speed.
Here is a side-by-side comparison:
Intel® Product Specification Comparison
Your existing processor has 8x the L2 cache and can run the memory at its full 667 MHz instead of only 533 MHz.
The E6700 is a dual core processor vs the Celeron's single core.
The E6700 was the best processor offered for that motherboard.
